Which means….it is the start of the rainy season!
Last night it started sprinkling, while I played Scrabble outside a convenient store with Ginger and two other teachers. Once it gets warm, all the 7-11s, Mini-Stops, GS 25s, Buy the Ways and other convenient stores pull out tables and chairs, where people can sit out, drink beers-or soju, eat snacks-or play Scrabble.
So it started to sprinkle and by the time I went home it was pouring. It came down all night, all morning and was still raining this afternoon. I forgot that a window in my kitchen (which is really a hallway) was open and my floor was soaked. I also discovered a leak in the kitchen roof (which is hard plastic-as there is no one above me). My stove was covered in water and the pot I use to boil water for tea was overflowing.
Now, I can’t really bike ride to school, without getting all muddy from the puddles and the 20 minute walk feels longer than ever.
